Latest update on 15/07/2022

We have no news on the regulation that will be in effect in March 2023. If you are interested you can keep an eye on this page. We will update it as soon as we have more information.

Latest update on 30/11/2021

Our workshops and conference continue as planned. The rules, measures and precautions listed below are still valid. Next to that will take extra actions to make sure our event can take place in the safest way possible. If you have any additional questions, please contact us at info@ng-be.org.

Some workshops (Security, TypeScript & Module Federation) and talks will be conducted online. If you are an attendee to one of our workshops, please check your mail for further instructions.

Update on 22/11/2021

A few days ago, the government updated the Covid Safety Rules. The event can still be organized in-person, but the following 2 rules need to be applied by everyone:

  • A covid certificate is required to enter the venue.

  • A face mask must be worn at all times inside the venue.

What counts as a valid Covid Certificate?

Any of the following counts as a valid Covid Certificate:

  • Vaccination Certificate: complete vaccination (2x) at least 2 weeks ago.

  • Recovery Certificate: positive PCR test between 11 and 180 days ago.

  • Test Certificate: negative PCR test (NAAT test) that is maximum 48 hours old or negative RAT test that is maximum 24 hours old. Test certificates are valid until the end of the calendar day on which the certificate expires.

For EU citizens, this means you can simply bring your EU Digital Covid Certificate (Covid Safe Ticket).

For non-EU citizens, the following website provides the most recent information on travel and and valid Covid Certification that applies to your country of residence: https://ec.europa.eu/info/live-work-travel-eu/coronavirus-response/safe-covid-19-vaccines-europeans/eu-digital-covid-certificate_en

If you need more info:

Face masks required

In addition to a valid Covid Certificate, the new Covid Rules dictate that everyone needs to wear a face mask at all times inside the venue, except when eating or drinking.

Face masks will be made available at the entrance but you are allowed to bring and wear your own. There will be masks available across the venue. Ask any member of the Holiday Inn Staff or NG-BE core team member if you need a new mask.

Hand sanitization

Alcohol gel dispensers will be made available across the venue. Please use them if needed and keep your hands clean.

Let's keep it safe!

Please follow these rules at all times to allow for an event where everyone can feel welcome and safe.

Anyone who does not stick to the rules, will be warned and expected to comply immediately, to avoid being escorted away from the event.

What if NG-BE cannot be held in-person?

In the very unfortunate event that NG-BE is not allowed to happen on-site and in-person, the following actions will be taken:

  • Workshops will be held online. Workshop tickets remain valid to join the workshop online.

  • The conference will be held online. The conference will be made available for everyone worldwide for free. No conference ticket needed. Paid conference tickets for the 2021 edition remain valid for the next edition.

By having these processes in place and complying with regulations, our goal is to make it possible for everyone to feel welcome in a safe, cozy and friendly environment.

What if you can’t provide a valid Covid SAFE TICKET?

If you are unable to attend the conference because you cannot provide a valid Covid Safe Ticket please let us know asap. We have people on the waiting list for the conference and if we can transfer your place we will be happy to do a refund. If your ticket is not claimed by somebody else we are not able to refund it. Please read our terms & conditions here.

We are here to help!

If anything is unclear or if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at info@ng-be.org.
