What is Angular Student Day?
As conference organizers, it is part of our mission to help bridge the gap between students and/or jobseekers and the leading innovators in the Belgian Angular landscape.
25 female and 25 male students/jobseekers will get the opportunity to attend a free Angular workshop during the NG-BE 2024 Conference.
Every selected student/jobseeker will receive:
a free Angular workshop by a world-class Angular trainer
free foods and drinks throughout the day
the ability to socialize with developers and experts from the Angular community
a unique opportunity to connect with the leading innovators in the Belgian Angular market
Angular Student Day Schedule
Based on a real world example, you will learn how to create an application with the Angular framework from scratch. By gradually enhancing the application with new features you will intuitively learn the basic building blocks, techniques and mental models of the Angular framework.
In the end you will be able to set up, config and develop simple angular applications on your own. Here are the different chapters we will handle during the workshops:

Angular Core Concepts - Getting started
Components Anatomy & Template Syntax - Our first componentsThe main building block of Angular:
Control Flow - Get to know logical structures
Typescript - What you need to know to get started
Intro Signals - Angular’s new state management toolData Communication & Enriching the template:
Input/Output - Communicate data between componentsDirectives & HostBindings - Enhance / elevate the functionality of other components / HTML Elements
Final wrap-up:
Async Data - Learn how to get data from APIs and visualize on the screen
Routing 101 - Learn how to setup multiple pages in your application and pass along configuration
For the students that are already familiar with the basics of Angular we will have more challenging exercises within each chapter! More experienced students are also encouraged to help out their less experienced colleagues!
